Last updated: 6 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mervonn Kenya Limited, trading as SecureEntry ("we", "us", "our"), handles information collected through the website access.mervonn.com and when you contact us about our access-control products and installation services.
Who we are
SecureEntry is the access-control brand of Mervonn Kenya Limited, based at Braidwood House, Tomboya Street, Nairobi CBD, Kenya. For any question about this policy or your information, contact us at info@mervonn.com or +254 790 293 294.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the quote / contact form or message us on WhatsApp, we collect the details you choose to provide, which typically include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you provide it)
- Your location (county) and the type of service you are interested in
- Optional project details such as gate or door weight and expected daily usage
- Anything else you write in the message field
Information collected automatically
We use a lightweight, privacy-conscious analytics system to understand how the website is used. For each page view and for clicks on the WhatsApp button, we record:
- The page path you visited and the referring page, if any
- A random identifier generated in your browser for the current session
- The date and time
We do not store your IP address or use this data to identify you as an individual. The random session identifier is held only in your browser's session storage and is discarded when you close the tab.
Cookies and similar technologies
The public website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local and session storage for essential functions such as remembering the current analytics session identifier. If you sign in to the staff dashboard, we set a single secure, httpOnly session cookie that is required for you to stay logged in.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation or site survey
- To carry out and support any installation or maintenance work you engage us for
- To contact you about your project and, where relevant, follow-up service
- To understand and improve how the website performs and which content is useful
- To keep records required for running our business and meeting legal obligations
Legal basis
We process contact-form information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to pursue our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the website, using the minimal, non-identifying dataset described above.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary:
- With service providers who host our website and systems and act on our instructions
- With our installation and technical team members working on your project
- Where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
Data retention
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our business, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Analytics records are kept only in aggregate for trend reporting. We review the information we hold periodically and remove what we no longer need.
How we protect your information
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry records is restricted to authorised staff through an authenticated dashboard, and administrative systems are not exposed to the public internet. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information in our care and to limit who can access it.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold information about you and provide a copy of it
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete information where there is no longer a valid reason for us to keep it
- Restrict or object to certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, email info@mervonn.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with Kenya's data protection authority.
Children
The website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
